Fairfax is a small village with a lot to offer. There are many ways to spend the day in Fairfax. You could start your morning off with breakfast at Countryside Inn, where they serve traditional country breakfasts like eggs benedict, pancakes, or french toast. Then you could head into town and enjoy shopping at the locally owned shops before taking a hike on one of the many hiking trails that surround Fairfax. The Appalachian Trail runs right through town, so you can enjoy all the nature and fresh air you want while walking or running along it. If you want to try something more adventurous, there's always rappelling down one of the cliffs in town!

The Shenandoah National Park is perhaps the most popular spot to visit in Fairfax. The park offers more than 100 miles of hiking trails and breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

One of the most popular attractions in Fairfax is the Blue Ridge Mountain trails. There are many different trails to hike and explore, including a 1.5-mile family friendly trail. But if you're looking for a more challenging hike, there's a little more than two miles of technical trails that are not recommended for inexperienced hikers.
